Antonio Lopes Oliveira

Antonio Lopes Oliveira, 59, of Fall River, MA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 1, 2017 in Warren, RI, surrounded by his family at the home of his daughter, Elizabeth L. Pavao. He was the husband of Maria Luisa (Faria) Oliveira.Born on February 12, 1958 in Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal, he was the son of the late Joaquim and Aurora (Pereira) Oliveira.A resident of Fall River for the past seventeen years, he was raised and educated in Portugal, where he honorably served in the military, and later in Sao Miguel, Azores. Antonio worked as a Carpenter for Horan Building Company in Newport, RI. He enjoyed fishing, taking walks, watching soccer, the companionship of his daughter's dog, "Odie", and, more than anything, simply being with his family and his treasured grandchildren, who will especially miss the chocolate treats he would bring them.In addition to his wife, Antonio is survived by his beloved children: Elizabeth L. Pavao and her husband, Walter M. Pavao, of Warren, RI; Nelson L. Lopes and his wife, Vanda Lopes, of Berkley, MA; Anabela L. Ferreira and her husband, Ricardo M. Ferreira, of Warren, RI; Bruno A. Lopes and his wife, Nicole Lopes, of Berkley, MA; and Liliana F. Lopes of Warren, RI. He leaves seven grandchildren whom he adored, and was one of nine siblings. Antonio leaves many nieces and nephews and dear friends. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life Service on Friday, October 6, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.
