Antonio Defreitas Andrade

Antonio De Freitas Andrade, 78, of Pascoag, RI, formerly of Pawtucket,RI, passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Home and Hospice Care in Providence, RI. He was the husband of the late Silvina M. (Rocha) Andrade who passed away on December 30, 2006. Born in Madeira Island, St. Vincent, Portugal on December 9, 1935; he was a son of the late Manuel De Freitas Jr. and Leonor (Gomes) Andrade. Mr. Andrade served in the Portuguese Army. He was worked as a custodian at the Foxboro Company for many years. Antonio was known as a family man, who loved to dance, sing, tell jokes and go on long walks with his wife. He also enjoyed playing cards, especially solitaire and listening to politics. Mr. Andrade is survived by his children: Natalie R. Laureano of Attleboro; twins Elisabethe De Almeida of Pawtucket, RI and Ana R. Carreiro of Attleboro; Sandra Andrade of Cumberland, RI; Vanda Perry, Angelita Domingos, and Carla Andrade, all of Pawtucket, RI. ; one brother: Jose DeFreitas of Portugal; and nine grandchildren. He also leaves two nieces and one nephew in Portugal. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a visitation on Thursday, April 3, 2014 from 9:00-10:00 AM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right, mile on the left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Immediately following visitation, the family will have words of remembrance. Children's room is available during the visitation. Burial in St. John's Cemetery, Attleboro immediately following visitation.
