Antonette Ida (Grimaldi) Ruggio, 94, of Landry Avenue, North Attleboro, died on May 24, 2015 at the Madonna Manor Nursing Home in North Attleboro. She was the wife of the late Joseph A. Ruggio to whom she was married in 1940 and who died in 1982. Born in Attleboro, MA on September 24, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Loretta (Cavalieri) Grimaldi. She was raised, educated and remained a lifelong resident of the North Attleboro community. Mrs. Ruggio was employed as a stone setter for W.R. Richards in Attleboro for 15 years prior to her retirement in 1984. She was a lifelong communicant of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, North Attleboro. Her favorite pastimes included playing cards with family and friends, trips to Florida, visits to the casino, lunch with the "girls", traveling to Europe and taking cruises with family and friends. She leaves three children: Joseph Patrick Ruggio and his wife, Lila G. (LaPlante) Ruggio, of Benita Springs, Florida; Pasquale A. Ruggio and his wife, Jane A. (Ricciardelli) Ruggio, of North Attleboro and Andrea J. Kindamo and her husband, Anthony M. Kindamo, of Marshfield; a sister: Eleanor Legere of North Attleboro; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends. She was the paternal grandmother of the late Marc D. Ruggio and was the sister of the late Patricia Sacco. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Saturday, May 30, 2015 from 9:00 - 10:00 AM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of exit, one mile on the left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Park Street, North Attleboro with the Rev. David A. Costa, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, North Attleboro.
