Anthony G. "Tony" Franco, 88, of North Providence, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 9, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Deborah L. (Leone) Franco. They were happily married for 36 years.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Umberto and Antonetta (Acciaioli) Franco.
Anthony dedicated many years of his life to serving as a Supervisor for Lincoln Parks Valet Services, as well as to his time in the Army. He had a deep passion for the NY Yankees and thoroughbred horse racing, even working as a jockey in his youth. Additionally, he was a committed member of St. Ann Church, serving as a lifelong communicant and Eucharistic Minister. We extend a heartfelt thank you to all the guardian angels at Briarcliffe Manor, with a special nod to Prince. Your support will never be forgotten.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving daughter, Danna Pollock and a devoted sister, Shirley Casali. He is also survived by his many cherished nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held 10am Thursday, June 13, 2024 from the A.A. MARIANI & SON Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins St., Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Ann Church, 280 Hawkins St., Providence. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-7pm.
