Obituary

Anne L. Reiley, 84, of North Attleboro, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2026. Born in Chicago, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Milton F. Little, M.D., and Ruth (Kneen) Little. Anne was the beloved wife of Henry B. Reiley, III. The couple would have celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary in June.

Reared in West Hartford, Conn., where Anne spent her early years. She was educated at Renbrook School and Oxford (now Kingswood Oxford) School, followed by Wheelock College in Boston, where she met the love of her life. After graduating college in 1963, she taught third grade in Sharon, MA for several years before moving to Pennsylvania. After residing for several years there, she returned to Massachusetts, settling in Attleboro. Here she became a member of the Second Congregational Church of Attleboro serving as a member of the Board of Deacons and several committees. For more than half a century, she was a faithful member of the congregation and watched the streaming services weekly even when she was no longer able to attend.

For more than four decades, she sold real estate in the Attleboro area, where she earned the designation of Realtor. She was employed by several local agencies including the Agnes Fountas Real Estate company. In addition she was a long-time board member of Daggett-Crandall-Newcomb Home in Norton. She was a member of the Friends of the Attleboro Public Library.

Anne was a strong-willed and unforgettable woman whose presence was deeply felt by those who knew her. She loved dogs, especially her wire-haired terriers, who were every bit as feisty as she was. She was an avid reader and particularly enjoyed a good trashy paperback. She also enjoyed knitting and cross-stitching, often creating thoughtful, handmade gifts for those she loved. Keenly observant and quietly empathetic, she had a unique way of making others feel comforted and understood. She had a sharp wit, a love for lively conversation, and a knack for keeping up with the latest family news. Anne found joy in life's simple indulgences-a well-made daiquiri, a walk on the beach looking for sea glass, vacations spent in Mexico and, perhaps most of all, the comfort of a good hug. She was always direct and unapologetically herself, and deeply loved by her family, who will remember her for her spirited nature, her unmistakable personality, and the lasting imprint she left on their lives.

In addition to her husband, she leaves behind her children, Deborah Anne Goulding and her husband Richie, and James (Jamie) Milton Reiley and his wife Sharon; her cherished grandchildren, Emma Catherine Goulding, Kevin Patrick Goulding, and Paige Elizabeth Reiley; and many loving relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her grandson, Owen H. Reiley.
