Anna (Lenghart) Marecek, 91, of Medfield, MA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at The Village of Willow Crossings in Mansfield, MA. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul Samuel Marecek.Born on December 3, 1926 in Czechoslovakia, she was the daughter of the late Michal and Katrine (Liska) Lenghart.Anna was a graduate of Washington Irving High School in New York City, NY. She treasured her role as a Homemaker and had worked in Retail Sales. Prior to residing in Massachusetts, Anna had lived in Monroe Township, New Jersey. A woman of great faith, she had attended the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity in New York City. She loved to travel throughout the world, and enjoyed playing cards, especially Bridge. Anna was a generous and caring woman who volunteered for food pantries in New Jersey, and who was truly devoted to her cherished family, with whom she loved to spend time. She had a special place in her heart for her grand-dogs: "Chloe" and "Cody".She was the loving mother of Paul M. Marecek of Medfield, MA, and his late wife, Liza D. (Dunlay) Marecek; and Gary R. Marecek and his wife, Irene (Porowski) Marecek, of Mansfield, MA. She was the adoring grandmother of Kathryn A. Marecek of Medfield, MA, and step-grandmother of John C. Meewes of Foxboro, MA and Daniel P. Meewes of Hartford, CT. A Celebration of Life service will be held for Anna at a later date to be announced.
