Anna J. (Marino) Belanger, 80, of Plainville, MA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at Attleboro HealthCare in Attleboro, MA. She was the beloved wife of the late Henry Belanger.
Born on June 13, 1939 in Cambridge, MA, she was the daughter of the late John Marino and the late Anna (Coletti) Sinowski, and the stepdaughter of the late Edward Ash and the late Joseph K. Sinowski.
Anna worked for many years as a waitress for the Rome Restaurant in North Attleboro and Gundlach's Hofbrauhaus in Wrentham and as the owner and operator of Boro Janitorial Service, before retiring.
A resident of Plainville for the past eight years, she returned there after having lived in Ft. Orange, FL, for eight years. Anna had previously attended St Martha Catholic Church in Plainville.
A warm and outgoing woman, she enjoyed creating crafts of all kinds, loved Italian cooking, and listening to Andrea Bocelli. While in Florida, she was an active member of the Red Hat Society where she helped organize events and functions and was at one time a Queen of the Society.
Anna was the loving mother of Joseph K. Sullivan, Jr. and his wife, Michele (Barrows) Sullivan of Attleboro, MA and Robert E. Sullivan of Plainville MA. She was the proud and adoring grandmother of seven grandchildren: Anna May Samayoa, Laurie Blanchard, Renee Sullivan, Brittani Sandy and her husband, Timothy Sandy, Joseph K. Sullivan III, Bobby Sullivan and Jennifer Sullivan, eight great-grandchildren: Jack Sandy and Hannah Sandy, Nickolas Tarr, Ethan Blackburn, Iroh Blackburn, Brian Samayoa, Brianna M. Samayoa and Jesse Samayoa and one great-great grandson: Fredy Samayoa. Anna was the sister of John Marino of Newton, MA, and the late Joanne Sinowski. She was the former wife of Joseph K. Sullivan Sr. of Plainville and also leaves her extended family and many dear friends.
PLEASE NOTE: During these trying times, the health and welfare of the family and friends of the Belanger/Sullivan family are of utmost importance and, in the midst of the coronavirus situtation, many people may be concerned about attending scheduled services. Consequently, services for Mrs. Anna J. Belanger have been canceled and will be rescheduled for a later time.
