Ann Elizabeth (Cummings) Swistak, 87, of New Bedford, MA and formerly of Fairhaven, MA, passed away On August 25, 2024, at the Hathaway Manor Extended Stay in New Bedford, MA where she had made her home for the past several years.  She was the wife of the late Ronald T. Swistak who died on March 7, 2014.
Born in New Bedford, MA on Christmas Day 1936, she was a daughter of the late Robert L. Cummings and the late Helen E. (McCarthy) Cummings.  Raised and educated in New Bedford, MA, Mrs. Swistak was a graduate of New Bedford High School.  With the exception of the 20 years she resided in Fairhaven, MA, Mrs.  Swistak resided in New Bedford.
She was employed as an accounts payable clerk for the Acushnet Company for 40 years prior to her retirement.
Mrs. Swistak was a communicant of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Fairhaven.
Her favorite pastimes included traveling with a special love for Atlantic City and Las Vegas.
Left to mourn her loss are her children: Abigail Hebert of New Bedford, MA and Timothy Swistak of Fall River, MA; three grandchildren; one great grandchild and several extended family members.  She was predeceased by her daughter, Sharon Swistak.
She was the sister of the late Robert, James and Thomas Cummings.
Family and friends will be invited to attend a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church on a date to be announced.
