Anita Viens

Anita (Beaudet) Viens, 94, of Waterloo, Québec, Canada, formerly of North Attleboro, MA, passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at the Santé Courville de Waterloo in Waterloo, Québec. She was the beloved wife of the late Maurice J. Viens, to whom she was married in May 1950, and who passed away on February 16, 2010.Born on January 16, 1924 in Richmond, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Florence (Lavoie) Beaudet.Raised and educated in Canada, Anita worked for many years as a Machine Operator for the former Texas Instruments in Attleboro, MA, before her retirement in 1989.Anita had resided in the Attleboro Falls section of North Attleboro since 1957 before returning to Canada. A woman of great faith, she was a former member of St. Mark's Church in Attleboro Falls. She enjoyed gardening and quilting.Anita was the loving mother of the late John Norman Viens who passed away on May 2, 2010. She leaves her brother, Jein Guy Beaudet, of Canada. She was predeceased by her late siblings: Victor Beaudet, Robert Beaudet, Rouville Beaudet, John Beaudet, Bruno Beaudet, and Arthur Beaudet. Anita is survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Friends and family are cordially invited to honor and remember Anita by gathering for a Memorial Visitation on Friday, October 5, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA, immediately followed by a Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m. at Dyer-Lake Funeral Home.Graveside Services will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland, RI, at which time Anita will be laid to rest alongside her late husband and late son.For additional information or to send the family a written expression of sympathy, please visit an online guest book at www.dyer-lakefuneralhome.com .
