Anita Marie (LeBlanc) Convey, 82, of South Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Saint Elizabeth Home in East Greenwich, RI. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Thomas Convey, to whom she was married on January 29, 1955 and who passed away on May 19, 2008.Born on March 27, 1936 in Central Falls, RI, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Marie Anita (Normand) LeBlanc.Anita worked for many years as a Machinist for Atco Tool and Plastic in Plainville, MA, before retiring in 1993.A resident of East Greenwich for the past two years, she previously lived for fourteen years in South Attleboro, and, prior to that, in Pawtucket, RI, where she was a member of Our Lady of Consolation Church.Anita was a woman of great faith and devotion who, more than anything, loved and cherished her family. She enjoyed crafts and proudly embraced her Irish heritage and loved music, especially Irish. She enjoyed travel, having visited more than fifty countries, and had generously volunteered her time and services to the Rhode Island Food Bank for twenty years. Anita was the loving mother of Donna A. Convey of Lincoln, RI; Charlotte A. Cosgrove and her husband, Thomas C. Cosgrove, of Pawtucket, RI; Michael Convey and his husband, Michael K. Beaudette, of South Attleboro, MA; and Lisa A. LaVigne and her husband, Robert W. LaVigne, of Lincoln, RI. She was the adoring grandmother of five grandchildren and the proud great-grandmother of six great-grandchildren. She was the sister of Robert LeBlanc of Las Vegas, NV, the sister-in-law of Theresa Copes of Rehoboth, MA, and the late Neil Copes, and leaves several nieces and nephews.Friends and family are cordially invited to honor and remember Anita by gathering for a Visitation on Monday, October 22, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA, immediately followed by a Funeral Service at 6:00 p.m. at Dyer-Lake Funeral Home.Burial will be private.
