Anilkumar "Anil" Chimanbhai Patel

Anilkumar "Anil" Chimanbhai Patel, 72, of South Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 22, 2021, at the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, Rhode Island. He was the beloved husband of Mamta Patel.
Born in Nairobi, Kenya on September 13, 1949, he was the son of the late Chimanbhai Patel and the late Shantaben Patel. Raised and educated in India, Anil attended medical school and was an anesthesiologist in India prior to moving to the United States. Once in the United States he worked as a phlebotomist for the Rhode Island Blood Bank, and later in the retail liquor business.
He enjoyed watching movies and sports, reading thriller novels, and spending time with his cherished family. He always held a special place in his heart for his Maltese grand-dog companion Lola.
In addition to his wife, Mamta, he leaves his loving children: Heley Patel and her husband, Amit Desai, of Sharon, MA; and Prachi Patel and her husband, Raul Markos, of Miami, FL. He was the proud and adoring grandfather of Zara, Zayn and Luca; and leaves his siblings: Vijay Patel, Malti Patel and Mrudula Desai, as well as several nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a Hindu Cremation and Ritual Service on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA, followed by a Traditional Final Prayer Service at Woodlawn North Purchase Crematory, Attleboro, MA.
