Anil Babarbhai Rabari, 77, of Sharon, MA, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 9, 2020 at his residence. He was the husband of Aruna Anil (Savdharia) Rabari, whom he married on April 21, 1977.
Born in Nadiad, India on August 24, 1943, he was a son of the late Babarbhai Punjabhai Rabari and the late Jatuben Babarbhai (Luni) Rabari. Anil resided in Sharon since 1984, having moved to the community from Brockton.
Raised and educated in India, Anil moved to the United States in 1969 where he earned his Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering. Over a long career, he worked for many different telecommunications companies including Raytheon, Telco Systems, Digital Equipment Corporation, AT&T, Lucent Technologies and NStar/Eversource. He retired in 2016.
A man of great integrity and faith, he proudly served as a past President of the Gujarati Association of New England. Anil's family was truly the center of his life and was the source of his greatest pride and joy.
In addition to his wife of 43 years, Anil leaves his daughter: Manali Anil Rabari of Sharon, MA; his son Chirag Anil Rabari and his wife, Miriam L. Torres, of Castro Valley, CA; his granddaughter Karina Rabari; his grandson Ayan Rabari; and his grandson-by-marriage Louka Alvarado. He was the brother of Laveshbhai Rabari of Great Barrington, MA, Mongiben Rabari of India, and Jivatben Desai of India. He was predeceased by his siblings: Karsanbhai Rabari, Bhalabhai Rabari, Rajendra Rabari, and Jasiben Rabari. Anil leaves several nieces, nephews, his extended family, and dear friends in the Indian community.
A Private Visitation and Private Traditional Hindu Funeral and Prayer Service will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA. Livestreaming and a Zoom link will be available by family invitation only.
A Private Traditional Hindu Cremation Service will immediately follow at North Purchase Crematory, Attleboro, MA.
