Angus Daniel Macleod

June 26, 1946 — March 5, 2012

Angus Daniel MacLeod, 65, of Hartsville, South Carolina, died on Monday, March 5, 2012 at his residence surrounded by his loving family following a period of declining health. He was the loving husband of Lee Anne (Beckman) MacLeod. Born in Englishtown, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada on June 26, 1946, he was a son of the late William and Maryann (MacAskill) MacLeod. He resided in Cape Breton until moving to the United States in 1963 where he resided in the greater Boston area and then moved to South Attleboro. Mr. MacLeod was a proud veteran of the United States Army having enlisted as a Canadian citizen and having served from 1965 until his honorable discharge in 1968. He was stationed in Okinawa, Japan. He was a skilled carpenter, mechanic and distance truck driver by profession prior to retiring and moving to South Carolina. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children: Daniel J. MacLeod, Wendy A. McCue, Shannon L. MacLeod and Dawn M. MacLeod; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a sister: Dolly Chapman and several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. He was the brother of the late Robert MacLeod and Freeman MacLeod. Visitation has been respectfully omitted. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Memorial Service Celebrating His Life on Sunday, March 25, 2012 at 3:00 PM at the Cushman Union Church, 2 May Street in the Adamsdale section of North Attleboro. Private interment will be held at a later date in Englishtown, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada.
