Angelo Yidiaris, 93, of Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 17, 2023, at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. He was the beloved husband of Diane M. (Moore) Yidiaris, whom he married on December 10, 1964.
Born on December 17, 1929, in Providence, RI, he was the son of the late George and Theone (Panagiotacopulos) Yidiaris.
He was a graduate of Central Hight School in Providence, and proudly and honorably served our country in the United States Marines. Before his retirement, Angelo worked for many years as a Bartender at The Lafayette House Restaurant in Foxboro, MA, and at the former Brook Manor Restaurant in North Attleboro, MA.
A warm and outgoing man, he was an avid golfer and card player, especially enjoying time with his good friends at Stone-E Lea Golf Course in Attleboro. More than anything, he cherished simply being with his treasured family. In addition to his wife, Diane, he leaves his loving children: Susan M. (Yidiaris) Carey, and her husband, Daniel, of Warwick, RI; Robert J. Yidiaris of Attleboro, MA; Michael A. Yidiaris and his wife, Susan M. (Hayes) Yidiaris of Attleboro, MA; William G. Yidiaris and his wife, Caroline, of Taunton, MA; and Tammy J. (Yidiaris) Hayes and her husband, Thomas, of Attleboro, MA. He was the proud grandfather of nine grandchildren and the adoring great-grandfather of four great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Peter Yidiaris and the late Sophocles Yidiaris. Angelo leaves several cousins, nieces and nephews, his extended family, and many dear friends, including his golfing and card-playing buddies.
