Althier Caverly Pino, 102, of Norton, MA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Wingate of Norton in Norton. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles R. Pino, who passed away in 1998.Born on December 14, 1915 in Concord, NH, she was the daughter of Frank and Laura (Hemmings) Caverly, and spent her earliest years in Tilton, NH with her parents. When they passed away, she was adopted by her mother's sister, Mrs. Florence Connelly and her husband, John, who lived in Norton, where Mrs. Pino was educated.A resident of Norton for most of her life, Mrs. Pino and her husband owned and managed Victory Casa, a popular restaurant in Norton, recognized for its prime steaks. She was also President of Victory Realty Incorporated. She and Charles retired in 1982.Mrs. Pino lived in a home on Smith Street built in the early 1800's, which was previously owned by the Leonard family. She spent many years there enjoying her family, tending to her garden, collecting antiques and cookbooks, and raising sheep and dogs. She and Charles often invited Wheaton College students to their family gatherings each Sunday for lunch. Mrs. Pino also enjoyed visiting her aunt, Josephine "Kitty" (Hemmings) Kerr in Barton, VT, before Kitty came to live with her in Norton.Mrs. Pino is survived by her sons, John F. Pino and Richard D. Pino. Her son, Frank C. Pino, passed away in 1965. She is survived by her grandchildren: Althier (Pino) Lazar, John F. Pino Jr., Charles R. Pino, Richard Pino, Parkinson Pino, and Laura Pino, and several great-grandchildren. Friends and family are cordially invited to honor and remember Mrs. Pino by gathering for a Visitation on Thursday, September 6, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA, immediately followed by a Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m. at Dyer-Lake Funeral Home.
