Allan "Lanny" James Carroll

Allan "Lanny" James Carroll, 70, of Rehoboth, MA, passed away on Monday, June 21, 2021, at the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, RI. He was the husband of Linda M. (Chartier) Carroll whom he married on July 5, 1992.
Born in Boston, MA on December 17, 1950, he was a son of the late Kenneth R. Carroll and the late Jean (Freiburger) Carroll. Raised and educated in Boston, Mr. Carroll resided in Rehoboth for the past seven years, having previously lived in Attleboro and North Attleboro, MA.
Mr. Carroll was employed as an automotive manager for AAMCO for many years having worked in Quincy, New Bedford, and North Attleboro, prior to his retirement in 2012.
A true sports enthusiast, he was a dedicated and devoted lifelong fan of the Boston Red Sox. He enjoyed reading, particularly true crime novels.
In addition to his wife of almost 29 years, he leaves his children: Michael P. Carroll and his wife Jennifer Fellmann of North Attleboro, MA; Todd J. Carroll (Monica Sampaio) of South Attleboro, MA; Shawna P. Carroll (Steve Cumplido) of Cumberland, RI; his stepchildren: Michael Chartier of Pawtucket, RI, and Jennifer Chicoine of Rehoboth, MA; seven grandchildren; two sisters: Dayna Ford of South Boston, MA, and Joy Iannuzzi of Belmont, MA; and several extended family members. He also leaves the mother of his children: Laurie A. Carroll of South Attleboro, MA. He was the father of the late Scott P. Carroll who died in 1992 and was the brother of the late Debra Gabriel.
Visitation and funeral services conducted privately in the "Commonwealth Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA on Thursday, June 24, 2021.
Private burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury, MA.
