Alice Virginia (Affleck) Reavey, 79, of North Attleboro, MA passed away on April 28, 2022, at Madonna Manor in North Attleboro, MA following a long illness. She was the beloved wife of Robert E. Reavey to whom she was married on September 11, 1992.
Born in Washington, Pennsylvania on September 11, 1944, she was a daughter of the late William Affleck and the late Margaret (Paul) Affleck.
Raised and educated in Rockland, MA she was a graduate of Rockland High School and resided in Seekonk, MA before moving to North Attleboro in 1996.
Mrs. Reavey was a top-producing insurance agent for Prudential Insurance Company for many years until her retirement in 1993.
A resident of Madonna Manor for many years, she and her family quickly made friends with the other residents, staff and nurses and they became Alice's family at the facility. The family gratefully acknowledges the attentive care she received from Madonna Manor and HopeHealth Hospice.
Her favorite pastimes included spending time at the beach and ocean, caring for her beloved feline companions and most of all creating lifelong memories with her family.
In addition to her dedicated husband, she leaves four children: Sherry Caldeira and her partner, Elisabeth Bergmann, of Raynham, MA; Susan Cote of Raynham, MA; Thomas E. Reavey and his wife, Christine Reavey, of Narragansett, Rhode Island and Jean Marie Reavey of Bristol, Rhode Island; three grandchildren: Shari Cote of Fall River, MA; Emily Cote of Taunton, MA and Paul Lambrou of Cumberland, RI; two great grandchildren: Daisy Leite and Grayson Leite both of Fall River, MA; several extended family members and her friends at Madonna Manor.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend Visitation on Thursday, May 5, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the "Commonwealth Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.
All are welcome to attend a chapel service prior to burial on Friday, May 6, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence, Rhode Island.
There will be no funeral cortege from the funeral home prior to cemetery services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Alice may be made to the Madonna Manor Resident Activity Fund, 85 North Washington Street, North Attleboro, MA 02760.
