Alice V. (Giles) Murray, 76, of Freeman Street, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, died on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro following a period of declining health. She was the wife of the late Thomas Leroy Murray to whom she was married on May 24, 1958 and who died on November 24, 1990. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on May 29, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Irene (Doherty) Giles. Raised and educated in Boston, Mrs. Murray was a 1956 graduate of Jamaica Plain High School. She moved from Boston to Attleboro in 2006 and resided in the community until moving to North Attleboro in 2009. She was employed as a receptionist at Credit Suisse in Boston for 13 years prior to her retirement in 2006. Mrs. Murray was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Attleboro. She leaves two sons: Thomas Murray, with whom she resided, of Attleboro Falls and Paul J. Murray and his wife, Lynsey (Morrissey) Murray, of Marshfield; three grandsons: Sean Campbell of Attleboro; Thomas J. Murray of Northborough and Charles J. Murray of Northborough; two granddaughters: Isabel M. Murray of Marshfield and Angela J. Murray of Marshfield; a son-in-law: David Campbell of Attleboro and several extended family members and dear friends. She was the mother of the late Mary Ann (Murray) Campbell and William Murray and was the sister of the late Irene DeRosa and Edward Giles. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Monday, December 29, 2014 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right, mile on the left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend the Funeral Service on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 8:30 AM from the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right, mile on the left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 133 North Main Street - Route 152, Attleboro. Private burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery, Boston, at a later date. Children's room is available during the visitation and while the funeral cortege is being organized. Following cemetery services an invitation will be extended to join the family for a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at a location to be announced. Please omit flowers.
