Alice E. Hebard

Alice E. Hebard, 81, of Ivy Street, Attleboro Falls, died on Monday, June 4, 2012 surrounded by her loving family at the home of her daughter in Attleboro after having battled lung cancer for the past year. Born at the family home in Foxboro, Massachusetts on November 29, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Royden Colby, Sr. and Florence (Greenleaf) Colby. She resided in North Attleboro for the past 20 years having previously resided in Attleboro, Norton and Foxboro. Raised and educated in Foxboro, she was a graduate of Foxboro High School. Alice Hebard was employed as a press operator for the former Donley's in North Attleboro for many years until 1985 when she went to work for J & L Tool as a press operator from 1985 until her retirement in 1995. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, arts and crafts but most importantly spending time with her cherished family. Alice Hebard was a member of the "Rowdy Babes" chapter of the Red Hat Society. She leaves her children: Glenn E. Bunker of Davenport, Florida; Pamela A. Williams of Sacramento, California; Deborah L. Brown of Attleboro; Lori F. Caldon of Attleboro and Roxanne M. Currier of Attleboro Falls; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; a sister: Phyllis Hodgdon in Maine and Royden "Bud" Colby, Jr. in North Carolina and several extended family members. She was the mother of the late Shawn W. Hebard who died on May 18, 1977. Visitation has been respectfully omitted. Private funeral services will be held followed by burial in Mount Hope Cemetery and Arboretum, North Attleboro. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community VNA Hospice, 10 Emory Street, Attleboro, MA 02703 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
