Alice Kay Ervin, 83, of Woonsocket, Rhode Island, passed away on February 16, 2026, at the Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket, Rhode Island following a period of declining health. She was the wife of Dwight Lewis Hardin. She passed after contracting Covid-19 which led to pneumonia and ultimately her death.
Born in Corinna, Maine on October 17, 1942, she was a daughter of the late John Ervin and the late Marion (Nutter) Ervin.
She earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics from the University of Maine and a bachelor's degree in computer science from Framingham State University.
Although she had a professional career, she spent most of her time devoted and dedicated to her family as a homemaker.
She leaves her children: Jay Fenlason and his wife, Joycelyn Van Bokkelen, of South Hampton, NH and Kay Ellen Fenlason in MA; four grandchildren: Raven, Astrid, Alex and Andre and her siblings: Jeanne Finley of Newport, Maine and Donald Ervin of Surrey, Maine.
A Private Celebration of Life will be held at Murray Unitarian Universalist Church, 505 North Main Street, Attleboro, MA. Burial will follow in the Murray Memorial Garden.
