Alice Marion (Lindbergh) Brennan, 83, of North Attleboro, passed away after a long journey with Alzheimer's, on Friday, March 14, 2014 at Carleton-Willard Village in Bedford, MA. She was the wife of the late William A. Brennan, Sr., who passed away on May 31, 2012. Born in Sharon, CT on February 9, 1931 she was daughter of the late Albert and Dorothy (Tanguay) Lindbergh. Mrs. Brennan graduated from New Milford High School in New Milford, CT, Class of 1950. She also graduated from the Henry O. Peabody School of Nursing. She was a licensed practical nurse at Westwood Pediatrics for many years prior to her retirement. Prior to her nursing career Alice had volunteered at the Norwood hospital as a "Pink Lady" as well as the Girl Scouts and "Meals on Wheels" programs, as she was always willing to help others and make people smile. Mrs. Brennan was known for her sense of humor, and she enjoyed sending jokes to others. Among her favorite pastimes were gardening, sewing and puzzles. She prided herself in keeping in touch with family and friends. Her family would like to mention the great care Alice received at both Canterbury Woods and Carleton-Willard Village. Mrs. Brennan is survived by her children: Patricia A. Brennan and her spouse, Denise Doucette of Billerica; Dr. William A. Brennan, and his wife Christina Horton of Cumberland, ME; Barbara F. Driscoll and her husband, Peter Driscoll of North Attleboro; Lorraine M. Brennan, Esq., of New York City, NY; Maureen E. Hughes and her husband, Joseph Hughes of North Easton; Susan I. Brennan of New York; two sisters: Ruth Woodard of Kent, CT; Bertha Lindbergh of California; and eight grandchildren. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. Alice was the sister of the late Dorothy Benjamin, Albert Lindbergh and Paul Lindbergh. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 from 4:00-7:00 PM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right, mile on the left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Childrens room is available during the visitation. Funeral Services will be held at a time to be announced. Burial will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
