Alfred "Al" Charles Feola, 89, of Merritt Island, FL, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2015 at Cape Canaveral Hospital in Cocoa Beach, FL. He was the beloved husband of Margie L. (Blume) Moots-Feola, and the husband of the late Lorraine (Perry) Feola, who died on May 18, 1995. Born in Worcester, MA on September 12, 1925, he was a son of the late Dominic Feola and Elizabeth (Travers) Feola. Mr. Feola proudly served our country in the United States Navy aboard the U.S.S. Detroit, and was decorated with the Victory Medal, American Area Ribbon, Asiatic Pacific Area Ribbon (2 Stars), and the Philippine Liberation Ribbon. He was honorably discharged from the Navy in February 1946. He then served as a member of the United States Marine Corps, receiving an honorable discharge in January 1960. Following his military service, he was employed for many years as a mechanical engineer at the Quonset Naval Air Station. RI. Mr. Feola took pleasure in ocean fishing, fishing in Narragansett, RI, and he loved cats; while in his younger years, he also enjoyed motorcycling. In addition to his wife, he is survived by Margie's daughter, Ramona G. Culbertson, and her husband, John W. Culbertson, of Windsor, CA; her son, Russell L. Moots of Cocoa Beach, FL; her daughter, Carolyn S. Halavin, and her husband Mark J. Halavin, of Merritt Island, FL; their children, Erik I. Culbertson, Wesley G. Culbertson, Lili M. Moots, and Holly E. Moots; and several nieces and nephews: Charlene Fisk, James Fisk, Mitchel Fisk, Cathleen George, Edward Fisk, and Lisa Dean. He also leaves many grand-nieces and nephews and extended family. He was the brother of the late Robert Feola. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation with Veteran's Honors on Monday, August 17, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right, mile on the left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro.
