Alfred J. Digiampietro, 76, of North Attleboro, passed away on August 25, 2026.

Born in Brockton, Massachusetts, he was the son of Alfred and Angelina (Brian) Digiampietro.

Alfred, also known as AL, Fred, or Didge, grew up in Mansfield, Massachusetts. He is a graduate of Mansfield High School and Johnson and Wales University. After his education he enlisted into the Navy where he helped his country during the Vietnam war and did most of his traveling. He was a long-time employee of the Foxboro Company and also worked a short time at Ikea in the warehouse.

Alfred was known for his teasing manner and his jokes. He was always laughing with people over jokes or the pranks he would do. His most treasured times were being in the woods hunting and fishing. He loved the yearly hunting trips all his buddies and him would go on. Not only catching multiple deer but being able to catch up with everyone. He would also share his love of fishing with his children. Of course, he was always the one putting the worm on and taking the fish off the hook for his daughter. Not only did he love hunting, but he was also a member of multiple gun clubs where he has won many first-place trophies and awards for his phenomenal shooting skills.

Alfred not only loved his hobbies but loved his family. He was a great father, brother and grandfather. He always wanted to spend time with his family, taking them on yearly trips to New Hampshire or just doing fun day trips to have quality time together.

Alfred is survived by his two children, Steve DiGiampietro of Plainville and Amy (DiGiampietro) Bates and her husband Michael Bates of Plainville. His two grandchildren, Aidan Bates and Nathan Bates. His two siblings, Ann Nixon and her husband Robert Nixon of North Attleboro, Diane Salvucci of Milford and Joanne DiGiampietro wife of his late brother Robert DiGiampietro of Mansfield, and many loving relatives and friends.

Family and friends are warmly invited to attend Visitation on Thursday, September 3, 2026, from 4 PM until 6 PM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 4, 2026, at 10 AM, at The Transfiguration of the Lord Parish at St. Mark's Church, 105 Stanley St, North Attleboro, MA.

Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in North Attleboro.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Heart Association.
