Aldea L. (Fredette) Lander
November 21, 1925 — November 10, 2021
Aldea L. (Fredette) Lander, 95, of Attleboro, MA passed away peacefully of a broken heart on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at the Life Care Center of Attleboro. Her beloved husband of 77 years, Charles Henry Lander, Sr. passed on August 16, 2021. Mr. and Mrs. Lander were joined in matrimony during World War II on December 23, 1943.
Born in Ward, South Carolina on November 21, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Joseph R. Fredette and the late Ida L. (Rodgers) Fredette. She was a resident of the City of Attleboro since the age of 16.
Mrs. Lander was employed as a packer at Paquette Industries and later for Bates and Klink in Attleboro prior to her retirement at the age of 62.
She was a communicant of the Transfiguration of the Lord Parish - St. Mark in the Village of Attleboro Falls.
An ardent reader, Mrs. Lander had a love for angel memorabilia and spending time on her computer in earlier years.
Her truest love was spending time with her beloved late husband, her son, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She leaves a son: Charles "Mickey" H. Lander Jr. and his wife, Dorothy "DeeDee" (Tetreault) Lander, of Attleboro Falls, MA; two grandchildren: Valerie J. Gravel and her husband, Mark R. Gravel, of Attleboro, MA, and Dawn M. Lander in Florida: three great grandchildren: Christopher Paul Lander of Attleboro Falls, MA, and Morgan A. Gravel and Thomas R. Gravel, both of Attleboro, MA; her siblings: James A. Fredette in Colorado and Arlene M. Bergeron in Florida. She leaves several generations of many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Lander was the sister of the late Armand M. Ward.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend Visitation on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.
A Funeral Service will be held at the conclusion of visitation at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Attleboro, MA.
