Albert Charles Stivaletta Sr., 85, of Norfolk, MA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at his home. He was the beloved companion for forty years of Sharon Allaire of Norfolk.Born on November 6, 1932 in Dedham, MA, he was the son of the late Joseph and Antoinette (Polidoro) Stivaletta.Before retiring in 1990, Albert was the owner and operator of Stivaletta Construction Company with his late brother, Edward. He proudly and honorably served our country in the United States Army.He was a resident of Norfolk for the past twenty-five years. Albert was a true outdoorsman who loved mountain climbing, having climbed the Old Man of the Mountain on Cannon Mountain in the White Mountains of New Hampshire; hunting; and snow skiing. He played semi-professional football for the Canton Town Club, the Morrissey Club in Quincy, and with the "Iron Dukes" while in the Army. He was a lifetime member of the Italian American Club in Dedham, and the Medfield Sportsmen's Club. In addition to his companion, Sharon, he leaves his children: Albert Stivaletta Jr.; Wayne Stivaletta; Pamela Kilmartin; Gregory "Jimbo" James Stivaletta; Antoinette Lee Wiederman; Steven Stivaletta; Heidi Garrey; and Richard Stivaletta. He was the grandfather of nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Albert was predeceased by his siblings: Michael Stivaletta, Robert Stivaletta, Joseph Stivaletta, Edward Stivaletta, Arthur Stivaletta, and Paul Stivaletta. He leaves numerous nieces and nephews and many dear friends.All services will be private.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Albert to The Michael J.
