Alan R. Poliakoff

Alan R. Poliakoff, 67, of Revere/Stoughton, MA, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Norwood Hospital in Norwood, MA.Born on October 31, 1948 in Winthrop, MA, he was the son of the late Max Poliakoff and Goldie Bella (Greenberg) Poliakoff.Alan was a graduate of Revere High School, Class of 1965, and received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science from the University of Massachusetts, Boston. A resident of Revere for many years, Alan was employed for more than twenty years in Security for the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston. Always a bright and curious man with a wonderful sense of humor, he enjoyed the distinct honor of membership in MENSA, and was interested in investment consulting. Alan was the beloved brother of Sheila (Poliakoff) Sandler and the late James "Jimmy" Sandler, of Stoughton, MA, and the late Loraine Poliakoff of Revere, MA. He leaves his nieces and nephews: Ryan and Diane Sandler of Medford, OR, and Darren and Dawn Sandler of South Berwick, ME; and nine great-nieces and great-nephews.Visitation has respectfully been omitted.
