Alan Johnson, 86, was a man of extraordinary integrity, intelligence, and humor who lived with purpose, generosity, and quiet determination.

Alan married his high school sweetheart, Donna (Doyle), and they shared 65 happy years of marriage. Together, they raised two children, Joni (Robert Moreau) and James (Elaine DeMeo). His grandchildren, Adam Johnson, Lindsey (Geoff Ostman), and Nina DeMeo, brought him great joy.

Alan was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was graduate of Attleboro High School class of 1958 and Northeastern University, Lincoln School of Engineering. He rose to the position of Vice President at Fram/Bendix/Autolite (AlliedSignal), later founding his own engineering consulting firm before retiring at age 75.

Alan was deeply devoted to his church. He loved Cape Cod, the ocean, boats, sports cars, and English automobiles, especially MGBs, which he raced and restored. A lifelong learner and avid reader, he remained endlessly curious.

The family extends special gratitude to the Dodge family for all of their support; grandson Adam for his immeasurable help; and Hope Hospice and Home Instead for their excellent care.

In addition to his immediate family, Alan leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Shirley D'Agostino, and his brothers, James and Howard.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Beacon Covenant Church Memorial Fund.

A memorial service will be held at 12PM on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Beacon Covenant Church, 841 North Main Street, Attleboro, Massachusetts.
