Adelaide M. (Belliotti) Gautieri, 82 Loving Family Woman Community VolunteerAdelaide M. (Belliotti) Gautieri, 82, of Pine Lakes, Ravines Court, North Fort Myers, Florida; formerly of Sunset Acres, Washington Street, Plainville and West Street, Attleboro; died on Monday, March 21, 2011 at the Hope Hospice House in Cape Coral, Florida shortly after admission and following a brief illness. She was the loving wife of Emilio Mel G. Gautieri, Jr. to whom she was married on October 6, 1951.Born in Providence, Rhode Island on May 13, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Dr. Joseph L. and Adelaide M. (Fitzpatrick) Belliotti. Raised and educated in Providence, Mrs. Gautieri graduated from the former St. Xaviers High School in Providence in 1945 and earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the College of St. Elizabeth in 1949. She later furthered her education and obtained her teaching certificate.In earlier years, Mrs. Gautieri was a school teacher for the Town of Johnston, Rhode Island having taught home economics and penmanship to seventh and eighth grade students.She devoted her life to her family as a dedicated and devoted wife and mother and in more recent years, grandmother and great grandmother.A winter resident of North Fort Myers, Florida since January 1999, Mr. and Mrs. Gautieri were snowbirds until moving permanently to Florida in 2005. Prior to residing in Plainville from 2003 2005, Mrs. Gautieri was a resident of West Street, Attleboro from 1961 2003.She was a communicant of St. Mark Roman Catholic Church in the Village of Attleboro Falls in North Attleboro and was a communicant of St. Therese Roman Catholic Church in North Fort Myers.A woman of strong family values and religious beliefs, Mrs. Gautieri was the first woman named to the Diocese of Fall Rivers Ecumenical Council, was the first President of the St. Marks Womens Guild and was the recipient of the Marian Medal from the Fall River Diocese in honor of her tireless and devoted dedication to her religion.As a 35-year volunteer at Sturdy Memorial Hospital, she served as President of the Sturdy Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.She served as the Vice President of the Plymouth Bay Girl Scout Council and was a lifelong and staunch supporter of her alma mater, the College of St. Elizabeth.Mrs. Gautieri tirelessly devoted herself to her husbands community initiatives.She enjoyed the time spent reading, cooking and playing golf but most of all treasured the time spent creating lifelong memories with her cherished family. Her friends were countless and once she met someone a relationship was created and such friendships lasted a lifetime.In addition to her husband of almost 60 years, she leaves six wonderful children: A. Naslund and her husband, Bruce Naslund, of Attleboro; E. Matthew Gautieri and his wife, Julie Gautieri, of Taunton and John J. Gautieri and his wife, Lynda Gautieri, of North Attleboro; ten loving grandchildren: George B. Farrington of Clinton; Kristina A. Martinez of Chino Hills, California; Jennifer L. Polimer of Franklin; Michael J. Bothwell of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Samantha D. Gautieri of Provincetown; Allison S. Gautieri of Taunton; Erik M. Naslund of the Brighton section of Boston; Kayla B. Naslund of Attleboro; Jessica L. Gautieri of North Attleboro and Timothy J. Gautieri of North Attleboro; one loving great grandson: Jakob Anthony Martinez of Chino Hills, California and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and countless friends.She was the sister of the late Frank Belliotti, Joseph Belliotti and Elizabeth Esten.Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Friday, March 25, 2011 from 4:00 8:00 PM in the Memorial Chapel of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on the left) Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro.Childrens room available during visitation.Those in need of a local ride to visitation may call the funeral home at (508) 695-0200 to make an advance reservation for such gratis transportation. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at 10:00 AM at St. Marks Roman Catholic Church, 105 Stanley Street (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, turn right onto Stanley Street in mile and travel to end of Stanley Street), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro with the Rev. Thomas A. Frechette, Pastor, officiating.There will be no funeral cortege from the funeral home prior to the commencement of church services.Burial will follow in the family lot at St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket, Rhode Island.Following cemetery services an invitation will be extended to join the family for a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at a location to be announced.Please do not send flowers.
