Aaron Lee Shorey

Aaron Lee Shorey, 84, of Barrington, RI, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 23, 2019 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, RI. He was the beloved husband of the late Janet Elaine (Starbird) Shorey, to whom he was married on June 18, 1955 and who passed away on May 18, 2008.
Born on January 7, 1935 in Unity, Maine, he was the son of the late Clyde Shorey and the late Manilla (Reynolds) Shorey.
Aaron was a graduate of Unity High School, Class of 1955, and worked as a Specialty Welder for General Dynamics until retiring.
A resident of Barrington since 1998, he previously lived in Warren, RI and Warwick, RI. Aaron enjoyed the outdoors and was a longtime member of the East Warren Rod & Gun Club. More than anything, he enjoyed simply spending time with his family.
Aaron was the loving father of Greg Shorey of Skowhegan, ME; Terry Shorey of Providence, RI; Jerry Cioppa of Grafton, MA; Randy Shorey of Warren, RI; the late Freelon Shorey, and the late Kevin Shorey. He was the proud and adoring grandfather of six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Aaron was one of seventeen children and leaves his extended family.
