Wolfgang Bading, 63 Wolfgang Bading, 63, of Phillips Lane, Wrentham, died on Monday, January 17, 2011 at his residence surrounded by his loving family following a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of Jean M. (Krawec) Bading to whom he was married on October 12, 1968. Born in Kiel, Germany on October 13, 1947, Mr. Bading was the son of the late Hans J. Bading, Sr. and Kate (Vollman) Bading. He immigrated to the United States as a young child and settled in Boston where he was raised and educated. He later resided in Randolph prior to moving to Wrentham 31 years ago. Mr. Bading proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from July 29, 1966 until his honorable discharge and transfer to the Marine Corps Reserves on April 30, 1969. He was the recipient of the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal and the Letter of Appreciation. Mr. Bading retired several years ago from the Polaroid Corporation as an assembly manager. He was a communicant of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Wrentham. With love, he will be remembered as a kind and gentle man much loved and adored by his family. In addition to his beloved wife of 42 years, he leaves three much loved children: Michael N. Bading and his wife, Francine (Boyda) Bading of North Attleboro; Michelle L. Pettinato and her husband, Nathan J. Pettinato, of Berlin and Jean-Marie Bading of Woonsocket, Rhode Island; four cherished grandchildren: Abagail, Lillian, Oliver and Zackery Pettinato all of Berlin; a brother: Hans J. Bading, Jr. of Randolph; his father-in-law: Frank Krawec of Needham; a brother-in-law: Thomas Krawec of Melrose; a sister-in-law: Nancy Sylvia of Mashpee and several extended family members. He was the brother of the late Peter Bading. Private visitation and funeral service with Veteran?s Honors will be held in the ?Memorial Chapel? of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home ? the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro with the Rev. Victor Chaupetta, M.S. of the National Shrine of Our Lady of LaSalette, officiating. Burial will follow with military honors in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
