Sandra Rita Mercier

Sandra Mercier, 66, of Rehoboth, MA passed away on April 18, 2023. Born in Attleboro, MA on August 22, 1956, she was the loving daughter to Lorraine Baker and the late Robert H. Mercier. Sandra was an Attleboro resident from 1956-2019, and later moved to Rehoboth where she resided until her passing. She attended Attleboro High School and worked at Doranco Manufacturing until 1999. Sandra loved animals, especially dogs and horses. She liked traveling and taking pictures of beautiful scenery. She also enjoyed going to beaches where she could soak up the sun. Sandra treasured Sunday morning coffee over the phone with her sister Kim and her video chats with her Mom. She adored her son-in-laws home cooked meals and desserts made from scratch. But most of all, she cherished time spent with her daughters and granddaughters. In addition to her mother, Lorraine, Sandra is survived by her two daughters Donna Kurbiec of Attleboro and Tammy Engel and husband Erik of Woonsocket. Sandra is also survived by three sisters and four brothers: Bonni Carter and Cathi Baker of Huntsville, AL, Kim Mercier Nunn of Hazel Green, AL, Dana Mercier of Huntsville, AL, James Mercier of Boston, Joseph Mercier, and Peter Mercier of Attleboro. She was the loving grandmother to granddaughters Annabelle, Melody, and Kalliope all of Attleboro. She also leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews. Sandra was predeceased by her biological father Carl R. Erickson, stepmother Priscilla Mercier, brother Robert W. Mercier and sister, Kerri Mercier. She was former wife of the late Walter Kurbiec of Rehoboth.
