Ida Santa Pirri

Ida S. (Panzarella) Pirri, 97, a lifelong Bristol, RI resident, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 18, 2024, at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice in Providence, Rhode Island. She was the wife of the late Antonio “Tony” R. Pirri who died on October 4, 2001.

Born in Bristol, Rhode Island on February 6, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Angelo Panzarella and the late Theresa (Aloia) Panzarella. She was raised and educated in Bristol where she remained a lifelong resident of the community.

Mrs. Pirri was a dedicated and devoted wife, mother to her children and, in later years, a doting and loving grandmother to her grandsons and their families.

For generations, the Panzarella and Pirri families were communicants of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church in Bristol.

She leaves her son: Angelo M. Pirri and his wife, Jeanne M. (Murphy) Pirri of Bristol, RI; her cherished grandhchildren: Anthony J. Pirri and his wife, Daniella, of Warren, RI; Mark A. Pirri of Rehoboth, MA and Dominic M. Pirri of Bristol, RI; a stepgrandson: Jay Bingham of Bloomfield, Colorado; 6 great grandchildren; three generations of nieces and nephews and numerous extended family members.

She was the mother of the late Nikki-Ann (Pirri) Bingham who died on March 27, 2023, and her late husband, Jeffrey E. Bingham.

She was the last surviving member of the Panzarella siblings and was predeceased by Angelina DiGioia; Anthony C. Panzarella; Salvatore “Charlie” Panzarella; Josephine J. Mondina; Liborio “Skeets” Panzarella; Dominic Panzarella and Anna Calcagno.

Private services will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024, in the family plot in North Burial Ground, Bristol, RI.
