Albina Theresa (LaBelle) DeMayo, 94, of Depot Road, Hollis, New Hampshire, formerly of Attleboro; died on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at Courville at Nashua where she had been a resident for the past two years. She was the wife of the late Louis Milton DeMayo who died in 1988. Born in the Valley Falls section of Cumberland, Rhode Island on September 27, 1917, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Albina (Cusson) Lebel. Raised and educated in Cumberland, Mrs. DeMayo graduated from Cumberland High School. She moved to the City of Attleboro following her marriage in 1936. She remained a resident of Attleboro until moving to Hollis, New Hampshire in 2007 and to the nursing home two years ago. Primarily a homemaker devoted to her family, Mrs. DeMayo had performed insignia work during World War II and in later years was employed by the City of Attleboro School Department in the cafeteria of the Tiffany Street School. She was a longtime communicant of Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church in Attleboro where she taught CCD classes for many years. Mrs. DeMayo was a member of the Senior Saints in Seekonk and treasured the time spent cooking, crocheting, shopping and baking but her greatest love was the time spent creating lifelong memories for her family to cherish forever. She leaves a son: Ronald L. DeMayo and his wife, Patricia C. (Soper) DeMayo, of Hollis, New Hampshire; three grandchildren: Robert L. DeMayo of Sedona, Arizona; David J. DeMayo and Kathleen Kathy A. Kallfelz both of Brookline, New Hampshire; 8 great grandchildren; a brother: George A. LaBelle of Attleboro, formerly of Seekonk and several extended family members. She was the mother of the late Arlene DeMayo. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend the Funeral Service on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at 9:00 AM from the Memorial Chapel of Dyer-Lake Funeral Home the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, Linden Street, Attleboro with the Rev. John Murray, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Stephens Cemetery, Attleboro. Childrens room available during visitation and while the funeral cortege is being organized. Following cemetery services an invitation will be extended to join the family for a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at a location to be announced.
