Grief Support Resources
Every person must cope with loss of a loved on his or her own terms.
The emotional upheaval these trying times can cause is sometimes so overwhelming that even the support of friends and family may not help relieve the amount of sadness and grief you feel.
At Dyer-Lake Funeral Home and Cremation Services we offer the following aftercare grief resources.
New Perspective Bereavement and Grief Support
Our New Perspectives bereavement and grief support program offers:
- Emotional support for individuals and families experiencing loss;
- Educational support for those experiencing loss;
- Specific information on community resources and groups designed to help bereaved families;
- Personal counseling for those needing assistance in time of loss; and
- Free monthly group grief support meetings designed to assist anyone in the community who is dealing with the death of a loved one.
Special events throughout the year include our Memorial Holiday Tree Lighting and Open House and our no-charge Veterans Day transportation to those unable to visit the grave site of a loved one at a local cemetery or at the National Cemetery in Bourne, Massachusetts.
In addition, we offer an extensive lending library at the funeral home for anyone seeking information on the subjects of dying, death and bereavement.
We also offer our knowledgeable speakers for any group on subjects related to funerals, cremation, burial, bereavement and recovery.
