A Few Testimonials

There are not enough adjectives to describe how we felt about you and the staff at Dyer Lake.  You truly made us feel that my father-in-law, Michael Calamari, was part of your family. The professionalism, warmth and overall comfort you gave us was incredible. I want to sincerely thank you for everything and look forward to seeing you again.

Tom Saville

I wish to thank each and every one of the people at Dyer-Lake for all you have done for the French Family.  The professionalism and kindness you extend is exemplary and heartfelt.  The personal and loving touch (Ted Williams baseball at my Dad's wake, quite touching to us all) is beyond what one would expect.  Thanks so much from us all at a very tough time

David French

Thank you for all your assistance in the days following the passing of Donald Handanyan.  Planning from a distance certainly added some challenges, but knowing that you and your stall were taking care of dad and all the details gave us tremendous confidence and comfort.  Everything was just as we had hoped.  It was a great send off for Donald and in the end, a memorable and comforting day for us all.

Thank you for making a difficult time less stressful and a comfort.

Sincerely,
Donna Poznar and the Family of Donald Handanyan

I’d like to express to you how very much the grief support program at Dyer-Lake and especially you and Linda as facilitators have meant to me.

It has been almost three years since I lost my beloved husband.  Sometimes I can put down those “buckets”, and sometimes the pain is new and fresh and raw.  I cannot imagine how I would be today without your care and compassion, your expertise and sensitivity.  I am so blessed to have been nurtured through this grief process in such a sympathetic but constructive way.

And speaking of blessings, I have made such wonderful friends … a new family who will always be there for one another.

Thank you for your lovely phone call last week.  I wanted to come to the Open House, but I was caught up in the Holiday “frenzy” (I should have come).

As I explained to the others, I know we were not “swimming around, playing and having fun”, but I wanted a quote from the book (I should have used).

I wish you all the blessings of the season, Judy, and a wonderful New Year.

With sincere appreciation,
Marie Parker

We simply can’t thank you enough for your generosity, time and caring around the loss of our baby, Philip.  It has been a comfort to know we could entrust you with the most precious thing in our lives.  We will be forever grateful.

Words can never express how wonderful you are.  The way you took care of Rick and every little detail to make his departure the most amazing wake and funeral ever.  The smile on his face let me know how happy he was with everything.  Thank you for being so caring and respecting every one of our wishes.

You are all truly amazing.

Thanks so much for the presentation on Tuesday (I’ve noticed how much people “complain” and have reminded a few to think about the good things).  Why, just yesterday, driving in the snow where I once would have been really angry at an impatient driver, I thought, “might be some really bad things in her life right now” and I smiled – thought of you.

P.S.  Look forward to “Peanut Butter” and hope you might be able to present something her one day soon.

You truly picked the right job.  I want to thank you for everything that you did to make my mom’s passing so special.  You made me feel like you knew and loved her.  When I got home after the reception and looked through the packet it just made me feel so good to find all these special acts of kindness in that bag.

Thank you for caring.

Tim:

Thanks so much for the support you and your team provided during the most difficult time in our lives.  I am so glad Mom’s stone was engraved prior to that “Antique” cemetery was closing for the year.

I hope you had a good time in the Dominican Republic.  With the crazy hours you must have to work, you deserved a vacation.

It was very thoughtful of you to send the picture showing the final engraving on Marian’s headstone.

Meredith and I again want to express our sincere thanks for all you did during our difficult time.

We are currently making card kits (packages that include everything to make a finished card) along with samples and instructions.  We hope that you will find them helpful when you hold your card-making memorial in the fall.

Dear Friends:

I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the lovely snack boxes that you are providing for our resident’s summer outings at Colt State Park.  The variety of delicious snacks you chose were a perfect addition to our summer picnic.  The residents truly enjoyed them while sitting by the water watching the boats.

Please know that we truly appreciate your thoughtfulness and your commitment to making a difference in our community by sponsoring this wonderful program.

For myself and on behalf of the residents and staff at Madonna Manor, thank you for your kindness.

Sincerely,

Our family would like to extend our sincere appreciation for the caring and truly professional services you provided for our beloved “Jackson”.  Everything was above and beyond anything we expected.  The personalization of the casket and room with the Harley Davidson theme was exactly what he would have chosen for himself.  Providing him with the motorcycle hearse was overwhelming for us but truly amazing.  Without the efforts of all of you, we would have had a harder time getting through the services.  Again, thank you so much for everything.

Sincerely,
The family of William C. “Jackson” Johnson.

I cannot thank you and the wonderful staff at Dyer-Lake enough for all your kindnesses.  Mom would be happy to know her stone is complete and waiting for her arrival.  I will be in touch about 8/11 next month.

Thanks again.

Love,
Pat (Theodore)

This is to thank you for the very professional, yes caring service you provided for my family, you and the entire staff were just wonderful in the way you showed love and respect, not only for us, but also for Gordon.

We appreciate everything you did.

Thank you,

Thank you for all the kindness and compassion you provided us during the difficult time of Marian’s death.

We had hoped to see the engraving on the stone before we left North Attleboro but I can understand that the rainy weather delayed the process.

Within the next few weeks Meredith and I will be compiling a box of Marian’s card making supplies that we will be donating for the Operation Write Home card making memorial tribute you will be having in the Fall.  It is a most appropriate remembrance of Marian’s appreciation of the sacrifices of our military personnel and their families.

Martha Charrest (Couteri)

Thank you all for sharing the most “Mystical”, “Magical”, “Morning” I have ever experienced.  You and your Butterflies made we smile, cry and have goose bumps all at once!

Loved my flight with the butterflies.

I just wanted to say thank you for the great job you and your staff did preparing my dad's services especially given the short time frame due to the Monday holiday.  Everything was beautiful, first class, and very professional. Most importantly my mom was very pleased!

Thanks you very much!

Thank you so much for doing a wonderful job on the funeral arrangements for my mom.

You helped me to get through all the meticulous details with such ease.  Your staff is very professional and you and Michael should be very proud of the caring and compassion shown while families go through such a difficult time.

Thank you so much for making Uncle George’s service so special.  Everything was just perfect & Pam was so pleased!  She was impressed with the vintage Safeway picture on the front of the program & of course, the peanut brittle was just the ultimate personal touch!  Pam actually said she wished that Redwood Chapel did half as good Job!  Pam could not wait to share the Dyer-Lake programs & memorial cards when she returned to California.  I think that having the date engraved on the headstone in advance gave Pam some much needed closure & she returned home knowing that every detail was taken care of.

As usual, Reverend Boyle was wonderful delivering a great mix of old fashioned wisdom & storytelling.

The average attendee wouldn’t notice, but I appreciate that you had the grass mowed to keep our feet dry & that we had the beautiful Dyer-Lake tent & seating instead of whatever the good-old Catholic cemetery department provides.

Thank you for taking such good care of my family again.

Sincerely,
Kitty

My family and I wish to express our most sincere gratitude for everything that was prepared for us during the loss of our dearest David.  Every detail was carefully and thoughtfully carried out in such a beautiful way.  You and your compassionate and professional staff allowed us to remain less stressful and worry-free as the arrangements were made and carried out.  You gave us such comfort and respect from beginning to end.

All of the above speaks volumes for all that you provide at Dyer-Lake.  We so appreciate the dignity and respect given to our family and David’s remains.  We are proud of your beautiful funeral and cremation facility and the support given to grieving families and friends.

Your outreach programs for families and grief counseling are such a benefit along with your support within the community helping others.

Thank you so much for helping us during this most difficult time.

With heartfelt appreciation to you all,

most sincerely,
Elaine, Megan, Gretchen and Family.

I just wanted to thank you for the beautiful job you did handling my Pepere’s (Robert Loiselle) funeral and services. Everything was beautiful, especially the floral arrangements. Your attention to detail was impeccable and your flexibility and willingness to accommodate all of our needs was phenomenal. This was the best funeral home we have worked with in the s funerals we have had in the past 4 years.

Thank you again,

As things settled down after the loss of my husband, David, I had time to reflect on his services.

My family and I were so pleased with all of the Dyer-Lake Staff. Kind, compassionate, professional, efficient lovely people, all helping us through a most sad and difficult time.

Also, we are very pleased with Tribute in Stone. They worked with us and the monument is exactly what we wanted.

Thank you and may God bless you for the important task you do so well.

It has taken me awhile to write this thank you, but I just want to say how much I appreciated everything you did for me and my family organizing my mother’s services back in Novemeber. She was much loved and still greatly missed and you helped us say goodbye in such a wonderful, heartfelt, and caring manner. Your professionalism is second to none and words cannot express my gratitude. Please let me know if I can ever be a reference, and again, thank you for taking such care with my mom and best friend.

Thanks again,
Kim Easton

Don't quite have the words to thank you for the way you took care of Jesse Lee. This was such a trying time for this family and you made it feel personal and not just another funeral. As his Grandmother this was really hard, he was my first born and I help raise him the first four years of his life. Your comfort was endearing. I might not have the words to thank you, but I sure have the feelings. Your very special.....

Fondly,
Mary McKenzie

Thank you so much for your excellent guidance and for the professional manner of your entire staff. Everyone was efficient, empathic, and compassionate throughout. We are very grateful to you all.

I received a very thoughtful remembrance card from Dyer-Lake on a year's passing since my mother's death. I deeply appreciate it. It is hard to believe a year has passed. I miss her terribly.

Dyer-Lake and you in particular were so helpful and kind throughout the period dealing with my mother's death, funeral and burial. With many thanks,

Margo

Russ and myself wanted to thank you personally and the entire staff at Dyer-Lake for your kindness and compassion in dealing with the loss of our son, Michael Patrick Sullivan.

This difficult time was cushioned by your care and concern for Michael and our entire families.

From the obituary to the wake service, the Church and funeral services, the burial service, all were handled so thoughtfully and beautifully by you and the entire staff!

Russ, myself, and our entire family thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for making Michael’s time so special to all of us.

With our deepest compassion and thanks to all at Dyer-Lake,
Russ and Patti Simpson and Family

I wanted to thank you for all of your kindness and compassion you showed to my mother on Friday, July 3, 2009. In my past experiences dealing with funeral directors, it has not been a very nice one. It seemed like they were always trying to get us to spend as much as possible and seemed more concerned with money than with us or our feelings. You were so patient and kind and I truly appreciate it. You made a very difficult time easier and much more bearable. Again, I want to express my heartfelt “thank you” and appreciation from my entire family and myself.

Kathy Partington

Thank you so much for putting a personal touch on your professional services. At a very difficult time in people’s lives, you have a wonderful way of making things a little easier on family members. Many thanks to you and your staff for a memorable wake and funeral service for our mother…it was beautiful!

Fondly,

Thank you again for everything you did to assure that my mother’s services would be as nice as they were. We noticed all the extra things that you did and they were appreciated.

Ann (Stelmack) O’Rourke

How do I even begin to thank you for all that you did to make my mother’s passing easier and more meaningful. Your professionalism is what brought me to Dyer-Lake, but your caring and warm demeanor are what will make me sing your praises.

From the Hershey bars to your orchid colored tie I could see how detail oriented you are.The bagpiper was truly the piece de resistance in our celebration of my mother’s wonderful life. The two gentlemen who came to get my mother were so wonderful and respectful.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Claire Nicholson Liston and the family of Anna Stelmack

I’m sorry it’s taken me so long to write to you but it’s taking me quite some time to adjust to my dad’s death (Kenneth Tisdale).

I wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the wonderful job Dyer-Lake and you did with the arrangements for my dad’s funeral. Although we had that extra time with him before he left us, it was still a very difficult time and knowing that his funeral was already prepared, made things so much easier for my mother, brothers and me.

We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful room for his wake. Christmas was my father’s holiday and for us to have him for one last holiday was amazing, but to have his wake in a room still decorated for Christmas, made it even more special. I know he was looking down smiling knowing we were able to have the room still decorated for him.

We’ve all gone through the grieving process in our own way and my mother is doing well. Being his only daughter, planning his funeral, and being there the day he left us was a wonderful experience, but as my younger brother has said “it’s your time to grieve,” and that’s what I’m doing. I kept it together through the funeral preparation, his illness & his death, and now after keeping everyone happy; it’s my time.

There’s a small beautiful marker at the burial site at St. Mary’s in Foxboro and the permanent stone should be delivered in the next week or so. It’s only been 8 months since his passing and I’m hoping once the stone is placed, it will help with my grieving. We were able to get a stone that has the Elks emblem. I know my dad was very proud to be an Elk and having the emblem on the casket as well as the stone made it even more special.

Thank you again for everything you did for my family. You’re a wonderful man!

Regards!
Carolyn Tisdale Torrey, Sheila Tisdale, Ken, Jack & Greg Tisdale

With all your kindness and support Nadine’s journey was a little easier. She considered you both good friends and knew you would come through with, as always, perfection. The comments we have received about the way everything transpired from beginning to end has been such a tribute to you and your staff. How do we ever say… Thank you!

With Love,
Bob, Shirley, John and our entire family

I wish to express my heartfelt appreciation and gratitude for the manner in which Len’s remains were cared for. He and I felt very strongly about our desire for a most simple earthly ending. Your professionalism and non-judgmental approach was perceived even through my broken heart.

Thank you sincerely,

I am sorry it has taken me a year to send you this email. It has been a very difficult time for us. I just wanted to thank you and all of your staff for the care and consideration you gave to our family. Everything was so beautiful for Andy's funeral. You took such care in listening to us about his life which made the service so personal. Thank you again for everything.

Thank you so much for your sincere kindness and compassion during a difficult time. Your advice before my uncle’s passing and your incredible professionalism and thoroughness are truly appreciated.

God Bless You,

Your entire staff, including your "Domestic Engineer" Lady, whose name escapes me, as well as your answering service, was very caring, friendly, warm, accessible, available, knowledgeable, professional, efficient, and courteous. Everyone did his or her "job" quite well, which, in turn, made this time considerably easier for me and my family. I did not have to worry about whether "things" would be done "right" or not; you and your staff did that worrying for me, allowing me to concentrate on other "things" occupying my mind (and heart) and taking my attention. Thank you for all of your excellent service.

Sincerely Yours,
Carol Nolin Smith

Thank you for your kindness and professionalism with regard to my daughter's passing. Our family appreciates the thoughtfulness and sensitivity displayed by you and your staff. Every detail was performed flawlessly which again is a testament to the overall professionalism of Dyer-Lake Funeral Home. We would also like to thank you for coordinating the monument engraving service performed by Ronald C. Richard whose professionalism is equally praiseworthy. His engraving is outstanding and he was very timely as well. Please share our satisfaction with his performance at your earliest convenience and thank you, once again, for helping our family during this very difficult time.

Robert Rao

Words cannot express how much we appreciate all the helpfulness and dignity extended to our family in our time of need. We know our mother was smiling down on us for such a beautiful and elegant funeral.

Thank you for all your support and thoughtfulness.
Carol Weilding

I just wanted to extend a heartfelt thank you on behalf of our entire family. Words could never express just how comforting you and the entire staff were to all of us. The loss of Barbara and Bill were devastating to all of us but you made the worst days of our lives better with your kind words, gestures and thoughtfulness. Thank you for everything over the past few weeks and years.

Take Care,
Sean Kelley

I received a notice from “The Living Memorial” program notifying me that a tree has been planted in my wife’s name to serve as a memorial to her. This is the result of a request you made on our behalf. Your thoughtfulness is greatly appreciated. Also, let me take this opportunity to extend my thanks for the outstanding job you did in taking care of us at this difficult time. We are extremely grateful to you and all of your assistants.

Thanks,
Richard Campbell

I would personally like to thank you for the caring and thoughtful way that you took care of my dad. There were so many things that needed to be done and you were there for everything. It is nice to know that there are caring people, such as yourself, to help through the difficult times.

Thank you so much,
Tina M. Picard

A special thanks to you and your staff for your thoughtful and superb service and for taking care of so many details we would not have thought of. My husband looked so nice; I wanted to take him home. I didn’t make the connection of his picture in the stained glass window until afterward. Again you thought of everything. Lots of people said your place was very nice and classy, so thought you might like to hear that and I’m very glad we chose your place.

Thanks again for everything,
Virginia Cerreto

Just a note to say “thank you” for all that was done for Mary Dempsey. Polly and I were very impressed with the respect given to us in dealing with the circumstances of Mary’s passing. We also were impressed with the “tastefulness” of securing the ashes. It took me a few days to realize that “blue” was her favorite color.

Thank you again.

Sincerely,
Pauline Achin – Alcott and Ruth A. Fish

It was heartwarming to learn that through your request from “The Living Memorial Tree Program”, that in honor and remembrance of Anita L. Joyal, that a living tree will be planted in one of the national forests, to serve as a lasting tribute to Anita’s memory.

It is with profound thanks and admiration for your organization, that I extend our heartfelt gratitude on behalf of my family, that this act of kindness and caring will always be remembered.

Jean Joyal

Thanks for your invaluable assistance. Not having experienced the planning of such an event can sometimes be overwhelming. Your input and ease of progression through the process, lighten the burden for the family, for this I am very grateful. Your professionalism far surpasses the many funerals I have observed over the years. My wife Anita would be delighted and happy that all her wishes have exceeded her greatest expectations.

Thanks again and God bless,
Jean Joyal

As I sit here writing this card, I am overwhelmed. We cannot thank you enough for the absolutely beautiful service you gave my father. From the biggest details to the smallest, everything was done so perfectly and with such care. You were so wonderful to work with during the entire emotional decision making. My dad deserved the best and you gave him that. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

From the Family of Rudolf George Fraatz

Thank you so much for preparing Ed to go home. It was without a doubt the most beautiful services I’ve ever been to. Thank you for capturing Ed’s wonderful smile. That was what brought us together. Everyone was so impressed. You’re very caring at a time that is most difficult. Words can’t express how grateful I am. Thank you so very much.

Sincerely,
Marcia Brower

The perfect introduction to our gathering was the whistle and steam sound from a train. Next, came the mixture of serious bible passages and the re-counting of loving and amusing incidents, which created pleasant and comforting closure to all of us there.

My trust in your choice of the train decorated wooden box, clearly represented Roy’s love of toys and his carpentry skills. Our thanks to you and your staff-again you created an atmosphere that soothed the pain of grief.

Sincerely,
Frances Anderson & Family

We extend to all of you a sincere thank you for all that you did for our daughter Ruth at a very difficult time in her life. All of the extra effort, thoughtfulness and professionalism was greatly appreciated.

I would like to thank you and your staff for making our loss as painless as possible. You have always been such a great support through the rough times. I am from the bottom of my heart truly grateful. Again thank you and give my thanks to your staff as well.

For our family, there is no question of whom we trust when the time comes, and although we never look forward to needing your services, we appreciate knowing that you are there when we need you.

From my family to yours - Thank You!

I just want to take the time to thank the staff at Dyer-Lake, You made my mom look so beautiful and peaceful. Her services were great and you showed a lot of understanding with her family (as big as it is). Once again, thank you.

Sandra Pina

Have just returned from this event and I must say that your funeral home is lovely, your manner gracious and friendly, and your professionalism exceptional. You made a difficult occasion much less difficult for my friends who have lost their Dad. What beautiful service you provide to the bereaved; way over and above the norm. This was the second time I'd been to your home and on both occasions I have been impressed. This time, I just had to comment.

Bernadette Warwick

Thank you for your gracious care of all matters pertaining to the services for my mother, Janet Ramsay. Everything you did was handled with grace and care. My father, brother, and I all appreciate your service to us.

Debbie Bucchianeri

I wanted to take this opportunity to say how impressed we always are with the high standard of excellence in customer service and care the folks at Dyer-Lake always show to grieving families and the guests who attend wakes and services at your establishment. I have attended many services and they are never as lovingly and beautifully carried out as the ones you have.

Sincerely,
Gary M. Poholek

The attention to detail and the wants and cares of my family were impeccable. The professionalism and quality of care displayed by Tim Nay, Michael Lake, and every member of their staff was a great comfort in a very distressing time. I would recommend their services to anyone who wants their family and loved on truly cared for in their time of need.

Sincerely,
Rosemary and Robert Brad Steele

Everything went so smooth, our family is so pleased that we chose Dyer-Lake to care for Mark. What an excellent service you provided, although I hope I don't need you again for a very very long time. I just cannot say enough about how professional and seamless transition it was from beginning to end. The chairs at the grave with blankets "very nice." Your staff was excellent, your facility beautiful and you were just great to my family. If not for your line of business we would have booked a future event. Anyone in the Attleboro Area that does not use Dyer-Lake is making a mistake. Our whole family brags about what a fantastic job you guys did for us.

Thank you so much.
David Fenton

The exceptional quality of service leaves no room for improvement. It was an outstanding display of comfort, care and understanding with all of the staff. My humble gratitude goes out to Tim, who gave myself and the Gattoni family the strength and support during our loss.

With heartfelt thanks,
John Aho and the Gattoni Family

I want to thank you so much for the wonderful and caring way you handled my son-in-law's funeral.

It was a very difficult time for my daughter...but you made everything so much easier. Although Sharon still has so much to do even now that Michael is buried, you handled so much of the difficult things ahead of time.

I have been involved with many, many funerals in my 74 years, and I had to arrange for a few of them, but I have never met up with anybody near your compassion and ability. I'm not saying they weren't good at what they did. I'm just saying that you went above and beyond what I would have expected in handling all the details.

I have never gone to a funeral home where they handed out the little booklets with the information on Michael and the funeral, pictures and lovely sayings, and never did I see a funeral home hand out any laminated prayer cards to everyone, as well as the laminated obituary column for Sharon.

Sharon and I both keep saying what a beautiful funeral it was, even though it is a strange expression to use for a funeral. From the moment we first met with you, right down to the burial and handing of the flag to Sharon, the whole service was most impressive. Again, thank you for the kind and compassionate way you handled the whole situation, making it a memory that my grandchildren will always have good thoughts about. God bless you always in all that you do.

Sincerely,
Lillian J. McGowan

On behalf of my family, I extend to you a heartfelt thank you. The services that you provided for my father were everything I had envisioned and hoped for and more. Each carefully presented detail ascended into an incredible tribute so fitting and proper.

If we in any way extended the timeframe of the funeral service, please accept our sincerest apologies. A solemn presentation must evolve to its proper form and solemnity, but must also proceed in a timely fashion. It is our understanding that the military contingent was late for their subsequent honors presentation. If possible, and if it within protocol, please make known to that family that our hearts go out to them and that we sincerely hope that their final honors presentation culminated in as an emotionally satisfying way as the honors for my father. My father would have wanted it that way.

As a small business man, I appreciate the ease with which you presented the business proceedings. However, I have to feel that the degree of business acumen and the utmost professionalism that you exhibited were driven by, or as a result of, a mere ability to empathize. From the flowers in front of the house, to the drive-by slowdown, to the collection basket and hat at the back of the church, my father's hat on the casket, to the playing of "Maggie" as the funeral parlor emptied, leaving us alone with my father as I had so requested. I could go on but the point has been illustrated.

My father would always say, "Think of the other guy first." You truly did just that.

So again, from all of us, we salute you. Dyer-Lake performed above and beyond the call of duty.

All of us,
The O'Neil's

On behalf of our Confirmation Class at Orthodox Cong. UCC in Mansfield, I want to say a HUGE THANK YOU for the time and thoroughness in guiding our group through your facility and the funeral process. It was by far the finest presentation I've experienced in our 25 years of ministry. Your candor and compassion mean so much.

Rev. Ted Newcomb

The expertise and kindness displayed by the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home was not only outstanding but beyond expectation. You anticipated every event, made subtle corrections when necessary, and seemed to be ever-present without being seen.

You personally deserve our most heartfelt thanks for your compassion and professionalism during all phases of the wake-funeral event. Without pressure, but with candid suggestions you made a very difficult time bearable.

We will certainly praise your company's outstanding performance to anyone in search of funeral services and proudly recommend you personally.

Thanks again for everything.
The Pariseau Family
